Effective 10 September 2026. Adds plans, payment and what happens to your work when a plan ends.

Short, because it can be. These are the terms between you and Rupture for using Preppit — the connector, the canvas inside an AI, the Mac app and this website.

What Preppit is

A way to draw what you mean, pin notes and voice memos to the exact spot, and serve the lot into an AI conversation as one structured prompt; and, if you choose, to have a colleague or an AI reader look at it first. It works inside AI products made by other companies — Anthropic's Claude and OpenAI's ChatGPT — through a connector you add there. Preppit is not those products, does not control what they do with a prompt, and makes no promise about the answers they give.

Your account

You need to be 13 or over. Keep your password to yourself. Each connector link is a key to your canvases: treat it like a password, and revoke it from the account page if it gets out. You are responsible for what happens under your account until you tell us it has been compromised.

Your content

Everything you draw, write, record, place or capture is yours. You give us only the permission we need to store it, show it back to you, and send it where you ask — nothing more, and nothing for training models. You are responsible for having the right to use what you put on a canvas, including anything you capture from your screen. Do not use Preppit to send content that is unlawful, that infringes someone else's rights, or that you do not have the right to share with the AI you are sending it to.

Other people and AI readers

A colleague link lets someone mark up one of your Preppits in their browser without an account. What they add is stored under your account, as part of that Preppit, and you can remove it. Do not send a link to anyone you would not show the canvas to. Someone using a colleague link agrees to the same rules about content as you do.

An AI read is when you ask Preppit to have a model look at your Preppit before you send it. That sends the Preppit — its pictures, notes and transcripts — to a third-party model provider on our account, only when you ask, and we tell you which provider each time. The provider is bound not to keep or train on it. The read is an opinion, not a guarantee: you decide what to send.

Plans and payment

The current plans, what each includes and its price are on the pricing page, which forms part of these terms. In short: Free costs nothing for as long as you like and includes a monthly number of collaborations (colleague links and AI reads together); Pro is a monthly or yearly subscription that removes that limit and adds features; Firm is agreed separately in writing. Every new account gets a fortnight of Pro without a card and then becomes Free unless you choose Pro; nothing is charged during or after that fortnight unless you choose it.

Paying. Pro is paid in advance, monthly or yearly, by card through Stripe, our payment provider; we never see your card number. Your subscription renews automatically at the end of each period at the price shown when you subscribed, until you cancel. VAT is added where it applies.

Cancelling. One click on the account page, any time. You keep Pro until the end of the period you have paid for, and are not charged again. We do not refund part periods, except that if you are a consumer in the UK or EU you may cancel within 14 days of your first payment for a full refund, and except where the law requires otherwise.

Limits. Where a plan includes a monthly number of something — collaborations, AI reads — the count resets on the first of each month and unused ones do not carry over. An AI read is counted by what it costs: a quick read is one, a deep read two, and a large Preppit one more; the canvas says what a read will use before you ask for it, and a Preppit too large to read is refused rather than trimmed. When you reach a limit that thing pauses until the reset or until you move to a plan that allows more; nothing already sent is affected, and serving a Preppit into your own AI is never limited.

Price changes. We can change prices with at least 30 days' notice by email, and never during a period you have already paid for. If you do not want the new price, cancel before it takes effect.

When a plan ends. Nothing is deleted. Your account becomes Free, your Preppits stay readable and exportable, colleague links you have already sent stay readable, and templates you made stay readable but stop being editable. Anything beyond the Free plan's retention is moved to the bin only after we have emailed you 30 days' notice, and the bin keeps it a further 30 days.

Accounts we give away. We sometimes give Pro to people for free, for a period or indefinitely. Those accounts are on these terms too; we can end the gift with 30 days' notice, after which the account becomes Free.

What we promise, and what we don't

Preppit is early software from a small company. We work hard to keep it up and to keep your data safe, and our privacy page says exactly how. We do not promise it will always be available, that it will keep working when the AI products it lives inside change, or that any particular feature will stay. It is provided as it is. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability to you is limited to what you have paid us in the twelve months before the claim — which, on the Free plan, is nothing. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

Acceptable use

Don't attack the service, probe it for weaknesses without telling us first, use it to get around the safety limits of the AI you serve into, or automate it in a way that makes it worse for everyone else. Don't pass it off as your own or use our name or mark to suggest we endorse something we haven't.

Ending things

You can delete your account at any time from the account page; that removes everything under it and ends any subscription without further charge. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, and we may withdraw Preppit altogether with 30 days' notice, during which you can export your data.

Changes

If these terms change in a way that matters, the date at the top changes and we email everyone with an account. Carrying on using Preppit after that means you accept the new terms.

Law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and its courts have jurisdiction — without taking away any rights you have as a consumer where you live.
